Dr. Cárdenas is a Kinesiologist and a doctor in Public Health, with experience in the clinical and research fields. Her worked has focused on the role of lifestyle factors (especially physical activity) in the development of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. In the latest years, she has been working as a full-time epidemiologist in the Cardiovascular Risk and Nutrition Group of the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute and, currently, in the Non-Communicable Diseases and Environment Program of the Barcelona Institute for Global Health.
