Gemma Aubarell Solduga . She is Head of Mediterranean Relations and European Networks at the Government of Catalonia. Head of Programme and Networks Unit of the Anna Lindh Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures (Alexandria, Egypt) 2009-2016. Director of the Programmes Department at the European Institute of the Mediterranean (Barcelona) 1998-2008. During her career, she coordinated major initiatives and events and she has been responsible for key Mediterranean resources: Afkar Ideas and Mediterranean Yearbook till 2008, Anna Lindh Report on Intercultural Trends editions 2012 – 2014, Handbook on Intercultural Citizenship Education, 2017. She is editor of collective books and author of articles regarding civil society, migrations, intercultural dialogue and euro-med relations issues. She was responsible for the Dawrak-Citizens for Dialogue (2012-2014) supported by the EC about youth participation in public life in the Arab countries. Member of the scientific committee of the UE research project Sahwa about youth in the MENA countries (2014-2017). Senior expert of the UfM labelled programme Forming Responsible Citizens on citizenship education in the southern Mediterranean (2017-2018). Currently, she is an associate professor at the School of Communication and International Relations. Blanquerna-URL in Barcelona, chair of the ethical advisory board of the Horizon 2020 TransGang project about youth organisations and conflict (UPF) and member of the board of the Global Education Citizenship Fund (ideaborn, Barcelona).

Experiència internacional

Head of Programme and Networks Unit of the Anna Lindh Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures (Alexandria, Egypt) 2009-2016.  International institution co-financed by the 42 countries of the Union for the Mediterranean and the European Commission. The purpose of the Anna Lindh Foundation is to improve mutual perceptions between cultures, promote intercultural exchanges and common projects or the Euro-Mediterranean region in the field of education, culture and media.
